Village Books Rail Trail Guide Signing
Karl Kleeman and Bill Rink will be at the Village Books in Fairhaven Friday, December 6th at 7:00 to read from and sign copies of the Rail Trail Guide that The Bellingham Railway Museum has just published.
The Trail Guide is a small published book that features descriptions of Bellingham's historic locations along the 3.5 mile walk from the Amtrak Station in Fairhaven to the old Trolley Power Station on Railroad Avenue at York Street. There are 35 signs along the walking path and the Trail Guide describes all of these points of interest.
This project was made possible by the Whatcom Community Foundation.
Bellingham Railway Museum Open House
The Bellingham Railway Museum will be having an open house on Saturday, December 14th all day long during our business hours of 12-5. There will be no admission on that day and we will be decorated for the winter holidays. There will be refreshments and snacks so be sure to stop by. Bring your friends!
There will also be a book signing for our Rail Trail Guide, which will be available for purchase. The Rail Trail project describes the numerous historic rail sites throughout Bellingham and can be used as accompaniment to a walk along the sites, which are now marked with signs we recently installed.
Please join us on December 14th!
Bellingham Railway Museum Speeder Rides
